SFYI students are selected each semester based on a broad constellation
of personal qualities as reflected in their essay, transcript,
application, recommendations, and in-person or telephone interview. Because of our small size (18 students), we hand-pick students
whose curiosity, openness to personal growth, sense of adventure, and
desire for friendship and supported independence fit the SFYI ethos.

Because of our customized academics, students may join SFYI on a rolling
basis at various times during our fall and spring semesters; we accept
applications year round based on available space, so apply today!
