Even prior to arriving, students can work with their SFYI advisor to
construct a program to include any of several personal goals, including:
- French language proficiency or fluency
- Confidence
- A high school diploma
- College-level coursework
- An informed global perspective
- Lifelong friendships - with Americans, Europeans, Moroccans and South Africans
- An improved transcript for college applications
- The skills and confidence for independent travel
- A mature sense of self: values, passions, personal plan, sense of identity
- Academic skill building and remediation in challenge areas
- Preparation for college - socially, emotionally and academically
- Master personal interests (art, language, cooking, etc) through internships
- A sensitivity to other people and other cultures

SFYI offers students a robust program of , accredited , and
extensive throughout Europe and parts of Africa. Our goal is to give students the most authentic experience
possible of France and the other countries they visit. At SFYI, students live in France as residents, not just tourists. The cozy nature of our program allows students to engage new
adventures in the company of friends, building confidence and independence in manageable, well-supported steps. Because of our limited size, every SFYI student
co-creates their own highly personalized program, customized to meet their own needs and goals in
each program area.
